We finally entered a large control room. The lead alien spoke to one of the others who went to a cabinet on the wall and retrieved several small devices.
The alien handed two small devices to the leader and he then handed them to me and RB.
“What do you think those are?” Questioned RB.
“I don’t know but, he wants us to put them on,” I said.
The leader waited for us to attach the devices. They had small magnets on them so putting them on was a snap.
The leader then moved very close to me and spoke.
“My name is Tharos. I am the commander of this science station. We are Verdigrisians,” he said.
Startled, I took a step back. Communicators that translate!
RB spoke right up. “I’m RB, a robot made of metal. I don’t taste good. That’s Jack,” he said pointing to me. “He’s a human not metal, probably tastes like chicken.”
“Chicken?” said Tharos puzzled.
“That isn’t important,” I interrupted. “We are from the planet Earth,” I said pointing to the planet on the display screen. “Where are you from?”
Tharos waved his hand over a control panel and a holographic image of a planetary system appeared.
“A planet much like your, Earth,” he said. “Verdi.”
“Welcome to Earth or, should I say the Moon, where we are now,” I said holding my hand to shake his.
Tharos hesitated a moment then put out his hand.
“So you are from the planet below,” he said. “Interesting. Interesting, indeed.”
