I watched RB expertly working the controls of the De’Longhi Galaxy Pro 2 espresso machine as he crafted my cup of coffee. As I watched I realized he seemed better at this than me.
The moment of truth came as he slowly (for effect, I think), poured the steaming cup of coffee into a gleaming white cup (10oz, not 8oz like those “other” earth based shops).
Picking up the cup I could smell the delicious aroma of the Andromeda Solar Light blend and see the rising steam.
First sip.
“Now that is a fine cup of Joe!” I exclaimed.
“Joe?” Asked RB puzzled.
“Another word for coffee. Old time saying on earth,” I said.
“So how is the cup of Joe?” RB asked.
“Stellar,” I responded. “I’m promoting you to Lead Barista.”
“What does that mean?” inquired RB.
“It means you get to make all the drinks in this establishment,” I said.
“No increase in pay, however,” I added.
“Pay?” he answered.
“Never mind,” I said. “I’m going to sit by the window and enjoy this fine cup of coffee.”
“Joe,” said RB.
But I was already on my way the tables by the windows.
