A door slid open silently and what we were confronted with made my knees go weak. Row after row of tubes filled with alien creatures suspended in some sort of glowing liquid.
“I knew it,” Said RB.
“Knew what?” I asked.
“I knew this was going to happen. I think it is time to get out of here,” he said.
“This is amazing RB. It proves that alien life does indeed exist,” I said.
“Well why can’t it exist somewhere else?” exclaimed RB. “Why do they have to be here?”
“Listen, RB, from the looks of things they have been here far longer than people have been on earth. And as far as leaving, we have come this far, and, we are going to see this through to the end,” I said.
RB just stared at me.
“Understand?” I said somewhat forcibly.
“I do, Jack Astronaut,” he replied.
“It’s, JACK!” I exclaimed.
“Yessir, Jack, Sir,” said RB.
“Just keep walking, we have to find out more about this place,” I said.
So we walked through the chamber unconsciously trying to make as little noise as possible.
